In order to use your BusinessVoice system, you will need to register a device (handset or softphone) to it.
Please follow the instructions appropriate to your device to get set up.
If you are using a Bria softphone or X-Lite softphone
First, if you are using Bria, ensure that you have purchased a license and activated your software with the license.
If you are opening Bria or X-Lite for the first time, and select I will manually input my account configuration. Click Continue.
Go to Softphone -> Account Settings. The SIP Account dialogue will appear.
For User ID, enter your extension number.
For Domain, enter the domain or host that was given to you by our team.
For Password, enter the password for your extension that was given to you by our team.
For Display name, enter your name.
Leave everything else at the default value and click OK. The softphone will now attempt to register with your BusinessVoice system.
If you are using a Yealink T4x
On your handset, press the OK button, which is located between the four directional buttons.
Note down the value of 1. IPV4.
Open up your web browser and enter the noted value into the URL field. Press enter.
Enter 'admin' (no quotes) into both the Username and Password fields and click Confirm to access your handset's management interface. Note that this is the default admin username/password combination. You may need to contact your organisation's systems administrator if you can not log into your handset.
Go to Account and Register.
Ensure that Account 1 is selected under Account and set the following:
Set Line Active to Enabled.
For Label and Display Name, enter the name you would like displayed on the main screen of the handset.
For Register Name and User Name, enter your extension number.
For Password, enter the password for your extension that was given to you by our team.
For Server Host, enter the domain or host that was given to you by our team.
Leave everything else at the default value and click OK. The handset will now attempt to register with your BusinessVoice system.
