Diverting inbound calls to another number

Avatar

There are times when you would like to have your phone divert for a short period of time to an external number. Part of our FreePBX solutions allows you to forward a call through your handset without the need for this to be manually set up.

How to set this up

From your handset or softphone, you need to dial the feature code for activating call forward. This is typically *72 to activate. With this feature code, you would need to also include the number you wish to divert to, for example, if you were to divert your number to 0212345678 you would dial *720212345678 then once the call is made it should confirm that you have diverted calls to the entered number.

Removing the call forward

To deactivate the call forward you will need to use the deactivate feature code. This is activated by dialling *73 from your headset or softphone.

If the above steps did not resolve your issue, you can raise a case with our team by clicking here. We may verify that you have completed the above steps, so don't forget to try!
