Adjusting your Microsoft Teams voicemail greeting

This article will go over the steps to create or remove your personal Microsoft Teams voicemail greeting.

Accessing your voicemail settings

Using the following steps you can create a new custom voicemail for your extension.

  1. Through the Teams WebClient click on the "Don't Forward" button, or the top setting if you were forwarding calls. Select More Settings

  2. Under the Voicemail tab select Configure Voicemail then select Record a Greetingmceclip1.pngmceclip2.png
  3. A call is placed to your voicemail menu, from here, based on what you would like to do you would select different prompts. Below will take you through recording and deleting voicemail greetings.

Recording a Greeting

  1. To enter the menu to record and listen to your personal greeting, press 1
  2. From here, your custom message will play if you have one, you can then record your new message by pressing 1
  3. When you hear the tone, record your message and press # to finish recording
  4. From here, you can accept the recording by Pressing 1, or re-record by pressing 2.

Using the default voicemail greeting

  1. To enter the menu to record and listen to your personal greeting, press 1
  2. From here, your custom message will play, you can then delete this recording and use the default recording by pressing 3
